Dresser Roots manufactures a full line of rotary-lobe blowers and centrifugal compressors. Roots pioneered the rotary-lobe blower design and has extensive experience with a wide range of applications and industries. Dresser Roots manufactures:
ROOTS rotary positive blowers. For variable pressures with constant volumes, at pressures from 1 to 20 PSIG (69 to 1,379 mbar), flows from 2 to 40,000 cfm (3.4 to 67,960 m3/hr) and vacuums up to 28" Hg (948 mbar).
ROOTS centrifugal compressors. For constant pressures and variable volumes at pressures to 50 PSIG (3,447 mbar) and capacities from 4,000 to 300,000 cfm (6,796 to 509,703 m3/hr).
Dresser Roots operates manufacture/assembly and repair facilities in Connersville, Indiana, Houston, Texas, Skelmersdale, UK, Dubai, UAE, Shanghai, China and Mexico City, Mexico.
All locations are staffed with factory-trained service personnel.
Blowers come in various capacities from the very small ones from size 3 m3/hr to the world’s largest blowers which are built by Dresser.
We make blowers from Cast Steel, Bronze, Hastalloy, Titanium and various other materials. For AIR and GASES the material of the blower is selected on the type of gases used. The basic job of blower is to deliver a lot of air/gas at low pressure or boosted pressure.

Tri-Lobe Blower Principle of Operation
Incoming air is trapped by the pair of tri-lobe impellers. Simultaneously, pressurized air (right) is being discharged. As the lower impeller passes the wrap-around flange, WHISPAIR jets equalize pressure between trapped air and the discharge area, aiding impeller movement and reducing power requirements. Impellers move air into the discharge area (right). Backflow is controlled, resulting in reduction of noise relative to conventional blowers.

Package Blowers
Package blowers come complete with correct size motors, automatic belt tensioners, safety valves, vacuum valves, filter restriction indicators. These blowers are damp machines and if not properly used they can blow down and spoil very quickly. In the package all types and materials and proper safeties are built into it.
The ROOTS EasyAir 8000 Factory Blower Package System is a noise free enclosure containing a pre-assembled, skid-mounted blower unit. All standard equipment is pre-mounted. It is produced for vacuum or pressure applications, enabling simple, on-site installation. Design Features:
